Glossary
Every word we use, defined
If a word in a report needs a definition, it is here in one sentence — or we should not have used it.
- Coverage
- How much of your idea our sources could actually see. Measured — enough on-topic signal to score. Partial — some, not enough to be confident. Insufficient — a limit of the read, not a judgement of the idea.
- Confidence
- How much you should trust the score, stated in words. It has a ceiling: only a source that measures what people actually did — like real search volume — can raise it. Talk alone never does, and the report says what set the ceiling.
- Measured search volume
- Real monthly search counts on the words your buyers use — the only numbers in a report we did not read in a conversation, and they are labelled as such.
- Register
- What a signal’s own words commit to: would pay · actively looking · already coping, badly · just frustrated. Each signal counted once, under its strongest register. A reading of language, not a forecast.
- Verified quote
- A citation we checked against its source text before being allowed to show it. If the quote does not match its thread, it is dropped — that is the rule, not a preference.
- Catchment
- The 2 km circle around your city inside which we count real competitors on the open map. Centred on the city itself — never on a business that happens to share its name.
- Angle
- A theme inside your idea’s conversation showing more pain than that conversation’s own average — kept only if the gap survives a statistical check for testing many themes at once. What did not clear the bar stays visible.
- Receipt
- The strip on every report naming each source asked and what it returned — including the ones that answered cleanly with nothing, and the ones left out, with their reason.
- Not applicable vs. not measured
- Not applicable is a statement about your idea — a marketplace read means nothing for a cleaning service. Not measured is a statement about our read: it applied, we looked, we could not see enough. The report never merges the two.
- Match strength
- How closely a cited thread’s own words match your idea — computed, and shown on every citation so you can judge our judgement.
- Priority score
- The number that orders the country ranking: measured demand weighted by how much of the read that country actually received, plus marketplace-ready and warm-channel bonuses. Shown next to every bar it sorts.
- The refund rule
- If the paid build comes back unable to measure your idea, eligibility is decided by the same code that scored it — automatically, from the run’s own recorded state. The refund is then issued to your card by hand, through our payment provider.
