Refunds & withdrawal

The sale is firm — and three failures entitle you to a refund, decided by the engine rather than by us.

The report is sold firm

A report is a one-off artefact, delivered instantly and consumed on reading. Once it is generated, the sale is final. We do not offer a satisfaction-based refund.

This is deliberate, and it protects the product’s honesty: the buyers most likely to claim dissatisfaction are those who received a negative verdict — which is the most valuable thing the engine produces. A satisfaction guarantee would systematically refund us for working correctly.

Your real guarantee is the free scan

You see a real, cited demand reading — and a full public sample report, unedited — before you pay. Check the goods first. That is a stronger guarantee than a promise, and it costs you nothing.

The three failures that entitle you to a refund

These are failures of our measurement, not verdicts you disliked. Each is machine-checkable, because the engine discloses its own degradation:

  • A blind scan — the report was generated with coverage the engine itself flags as insufficient.
  • A report never generated — you were charged and the build failed, which the engine records on the scan itself.
  • A duplicate charge — two separate purchases hold an entitlement on the same scan, so you paid twice for one report.

How to claim

Write to legal@demandlens.app with the email address used at checkout, or your retrieval code. We check the recorded state of the scan — it either carries one of the markers above or it does not, so eligibility does not rest on anyone’s judgement.

To be exact about the mechanism: what is automatic is the decision, not the payment. Once eligibility is established, the refund is issued by hand through our payment provider and goes back to the original payment method. We would rather tell you that than let “automatic” suggest a speed we do not control.

EU/EEA right of withdrawal

Digital content sold at a distance normally carries a 14-day right of withdrawal. Because the report is delivered immediately, checkout asks for your express consent to immediate performance and your acknowledgement that you lose that right — Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.

If you did not give that consent, the report was not generated and you were not charged. The clauses above still apply on top of any mandatory right you hold in your country of residence.

Chargebacks

If something has gone wrong, writing to us is faster than a chargeback and we would rather fix it. But nothing here removes your right to dispute a charge with your bank.
